Gem and I would like to sincerely thank you and your entire team for making our recent five-night stay at Nandini Jungle by Hanging Gardens one of the most memorable hotel experiences we have enjoyed anywhere in the world.
Having stayed at many excellent hotels internationally, we have developed fairly high expectations, so it takes something genuinely special to impress us. Nandini certainly did. The combination of spectacular surroundings, outstanding facilities and, above all, the warmth and professionalism of your team created an experience that we will remember for many years.
Our corner suite was exceptional. The immersive 270-degree views across the surrounding jungle and valley were breathtaking and created a wonderful sense of peace and tranquillity. Every morning we looked forward to opening the doors and simply taking in the incredible scenery.
One aspect that particularly stood out was the magnificent presentation of the resort itself. Your gardening and maintenance teams deserve enormous recognition for what they have created. The gardens are simply stunning. Everywhere we looked there was an extraordinary variety of lush tropical plants, mature trees, flowering shrubs, orchids and ferns, all maintained to an exceptionally high standard. The beautifully crafted timber and stone work, water features and landscaping blend so naturally with the surrounding jungle that it feels as though the resort has grown organically from the landscape. It is a remarkable achievement, and one that undoubtedly requires an enormous amount of skill, creativity and ongoing care behind the scenes.
As vegetarians, we were also extremely impressed with the restaurant. Every member of the dining team seemed to know our dietary preferences before each meal, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The quality and variety of the food were excellent, the cocktails were superb, and fresh bottled water always appeared within moments whenever we needed it.
The shuttle service to and from Ubud was another highlight. It was always easy to arrange, punctual and driven by courteous, careful and professional drivers. We also thoroughly enjoyed the evening cultural performances. The quality, authenticity and variety of the entertainment gave us a deeper appreciation of Balinese culture and added another memorable dimension to our stay.
What impressed us most, however, was your people. Every team member we encountered—whether in reception, housekeeping, the restaurants, gardens, maintenance, shuttle service or management—displayed the same genuine warmth, professionalism and desire to ensure guests had the very best experience. There was a consistency of service that is rarely achieved and reflects a wonderful team culture.
Although every member of your team deserves recognition, we would particularly like to mention a few people who left a lasting impression on us.
Tirta was a wonderful ambassador for both Nandini and Bali. His excellent English, friendly personality and careful driving made every trip to and from Ubud enjoyable. We particularly appreciated his genuine interest in hearing our feedback and ensuring we had the best possible experience.
Suka, who quickly became known to us as the "Gecko Man", combined efficiency with a terrific sense of humour. He was always happy to chat, answer our many questions about Balinese life and culture, and somehow managed to make every evening meal even more enjoyable.
Eka, who looked after the pool area, was consistently attentive, personable and proactive. He always seemed to appear at exactly the right moment to offer assistance while allowing guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Rose welcomed us on each occasion with warmth, sincerity and genuine interest. Her engaging conversations and efficient service made breakfast a wonderful way to begin each day.
Novita consistently provided knowledgeable and professional service in the evenings. Her attention to detail and friendly manner never went unnoticed.
Lestari impressed us with her cheerful personality, attentiveness and willingness to go that little bit further to ensure everything was perfect.
We would also like to thank Agus for the considerable time he spent talking with us throughout our stay. His knowledge, professionalism and obvious pride in Nandini were evident in every conversation. We especially appreciated his willingness to listen carefully to our suggestions and discuss his ideas for continually enhancing the guest experience. His passion for the hotel was unmistakable.
Finally, Parka, we would like to thank you personally. Despite the demands of managing such a beautiful property, you generously made time to meet with us on several occasions. We were genuinely impressed by your openness to feedback and your sincere desire to keep improving an already exceptional resort. Leaders set the culture of an organisation, and it is clear that your commitment to excellence and genuine care for both your guests and your team has created something very special at Nandini.

Every team member we encountered contributed to an atmosphere of genuine hospitality, and together they created an experience that exceeded our expectations in every way.
We wish you and your entire team every success for the future. Gem and I have returned to Adelaide with wonderful memories of our stay and very much hope to visit Nandini again one day. We have spread the word to our friends also!
